Downtown trick-or-treating was especially awesome this year. We ran into Rosie the Riveter (and her family of Rosies). And there was a particularly adorable bookworm and the sweetest scary lion you ever saw. Then back to the Currents for some Sweet Basil pizza and a little Geneva time. (Is Robb teary-eyed?)

Great Grandma
There's nothing quite like a visit from Great Grandma Marie. She seems to understand that reading books is just about the best thing in the world. The boys spent most of the morning cuddled up reading a selection of new stories.

Winter Luxury
Zeke has been very ambitious in the fall harvest. We brought in SO many pumpkins. I hope they all become pies. When I told him that we would share some, he got a little upset. But then he picked out one and said, "This one is for Auntie Cheris!"

Giraffe Boy
Lincoln always tries to ditch out of his class early so he can do crafts with Zeke. But, as usual, Zeke does the craft and Lincoln wears it.

Like Christmas
So, I kept seeing this service Stitch Fix and finally decided to give it a try. Basically, you pay a $20 styling fee up front. And then you fill out an extensive style profile. You get five pieces to try and if you keep any of them you get back your styling fee.
It isn't for everyone, but it is pretty much the perfect way for me to shop. I'm sort of shopping-challenged for a few reasons. The last time I needed new clothes I had one fussy baby in a stroller and one little rascal trying to hide from me under clothes racks and dressing rooms. We also don't have many stores here, and I'm not going to drive an hour out of my way to go looking. AND, when I finally do buy something, I end up with a bunch of similar black pieces.
Enter Stitch Fix. I just got a box and it was SO much fun. There was actually one thing that I really loved, so I would say it is a win for a first try. Poor shirt, I'm probably going to wear it out. But the wait was terrible. Like Christmas.
Robb is jealous. He is researching similar services for dudes. Have you ever tried a subscription styling service? Thoughts?

One Day's Worth
Tuesdays are my favorite. I have the whole day at home to catch up on housework. And catch up with the rascally ways of my boys. For example, Lincoln has taken to dressing the girl Lego character in Batman's hood and calling her "BatMomma." I find her cruising around the house on her tireless bike.
And, at every possible opportunity, Lincoln dashes outside to play for tiny little spurts. He has finally figured out the screen door, so now he can come and go at will.
And bow-staff baby has started his training with Lincoln Logs. Not sure where that is going...
And Zeke authored this to-do list and got nearly everything done. Sometimes dada and momma sneak things onto the list. Somehow they still get done. My favorite was the part where he wanted to sing to the captured bugs.

Miss G
Look! They are best friends already. Okay, so it actually looks like Geneva is giving Everett the cold should and he's just trying to be cool.

Do I have to?
Sometimes I need a helping hand. Sometimes Zeke is available and seems willing. Sometimes I forget that the baby is only half Zeke's size. At least they are both good sports.

My Little Intern
Most nights, this hilarious kid comes up to my office to say goodnight. He also likes to weigh in on a variety of design questions and often needs to try on my computer glasses. I think he would make a fine designer.
Those Eyes
He has the best, big brown eyes. And perfect matching brows. And cell phone pics don't do him justice.
Lunch with Friends
We got to have lunch with Nel and the kiddos. And Nel whipped up some super delicious pasta salad. Zeke was inspired to use his finger spork. Oliver is smiling so big his eyes are closed.

Fun with Prunes
At six months, we finally realized we should let this guy try some solids. He's been lunging for our food for months, and showing all signs that he wanted to eat from a spoon. But alas, his parents are slow. As soon as he was offered that first bite, he was almost a pro. His repertoire now includes prunes, applesauce, peaches and rice cereal.
