The Opposite of Tidy

Ezekiel and I take turns holding the spoon for his supper. He does pretty good, but there is cereal everywhere by the time he is ready for his bath.

Mexican and Moustaches

If Ezekiel had a moustache, and it was blond...

Only slightly more convincing.

We are loving Nelita's pregnancy cravings! Today it meant a visit to Taqueria Yungapeti. Robb and David insisted on getting vending machine moustaches. Ezekiel fed himself great quantities of rice, avocados and tomatoes. Good times.

On Safari

Looks like it might be time to mow again.

Looking for dirt clods, as usual.

The first of the Clematis blossoms.

We've had so much rain this spring that our yard is getting out of control. Ezekiel doesn't mind though, it gives him more to explore.

Happy Birthday, Kennedi!

The birthday girl checks out her gifts.

Whew! It was a busy day. We dashed home from Broc and Sherisa's shower and Ezekiel got a quick nap. Then on to Kennedi's first birthday party. Julie did an awesome job with decorations and food and amazing fondant cakes. Kennedi looked adorable in her cupcake tee and tutu. Happy Birthday, little one.

Celebrating Baby Finkbiner (Part 2)

A couple of photos from Sherisa's camera.

Celebrating Baby Finkbiner

The glowing mommy-to-be.

Glowing new mommy. (Chelane, your eyes are amazing!)

The lovely hostess Kerri.

Uncle Jo entertaining the little rascal.
We got to have a little baby shower for Broc and Sherisa this morning. (Their little girl is due to arrive in about a month, and we are pretty anxious to meet her.)

There was some seriously great food. Bob, your Chili Rellenos are delicious. I might need that recipe. Same goes for the blueberry french toast bake.

Thanks to Johannes for snapping the photos.

Backyard Paradise

Ezekiel giggles at Uncle John's antics.

I think heaven must look very much like this.

Washing off all that yummy dirt.

Robb is off with the young men's retreat this weekend (more on that soon) so it is just the two of us. We very greatfully headed out to Fackenthalls for lunch and general good times after church. We took a tour of the progress on Jo and Chelane's new place (it looks awesome!), adored baby Pepper and taste-tested the dirt. Well, one of us did.

Ezekiel is Eleven Months Old

This is all happening too quickly! He'll be a year old next month...

Epic Birthday Gift

What is that blur of red?

Trying to free my hands.

I saw in an advertisement years ago and instantly fell in love. What could be better than a sleeping bag that is fitted to your body? You can move your arms and legs and walk, hug, jump, chill by the campfire and sleep in the thing. I LOVE IT. Thanks Robb!

Ezekiel Photo of the Day

Seriously mom, you're still on the phone?

How did I get in this spot?

This kid is suddenly all sorts of attitude. (I love it!)

Ghirardelli Goodness

He's always willing to try the lemons.

An entire city block dedicated to the production of chocolate? Yes please. We stopped at a little restaurant for lunch, then on to the main event: chocolate malt shakes and hot fudge sundaes.

Pier 39

Posing with the Golden Gate Bridge.

Alcatraz Island is really rather pretty.

Practicing my paparazzi skills.

Ezekiel isn't sure what to think of the sea lions.

Pier 39 was great. Lots of cute little shops, street performers and views of the bay.

The Afterparty

Grandma Marie, Ezekiel and the wonder of bread sticks.

Super cute couple.

Trying to get some more snacks.

At Saint Mary's they have quite a system for graduation parties. The central lawn is packed with tents and picnics and parties. There is so much food, in fact, that we even noticed grazers—people randomly sampling the goodies at each party.

Graduation Day

A very proud papa.

It was such a perfectly beautiful day for an outdoor graduation! The campus was pristine, Amanda looked gorgeous and we all got to bask in the sun for a few hours. Success!
