Short Sands

I haven't been to Short Sands since college, so it was quite a treat to visit again. The boys especially enjoyed the beautiful little walk through the forest to get there. It was a little more protected from the wind, so the boys put on their wetsuits and played in the water a bit.

Seaside and Such

When camping with three little people, it is tricky finding down time. But this morning, the baby fell asleep while Robb was making breakfast, and the boys entertained themselves for a bit and we actually enjoyed a leisurely moment in the hammock.

It is a hoot watching all of the little ones play together, riding bikes and scooters up and down the street. And, of course, stopping by each campsite to graze.

And then, a quick visit to the surf shop to drool over all of the beautiful long boards. McKenna got to help choose her first board, which she'll get to try out later on today. Zeke got a hat, he was pretty stoked. With his "Eddie Would Go" t-shirt and his Junior Ranger forearm tattoo, he is feeling pretty cool.

Date Night

We got to see Fiddle on the Roof tonight at the Fort Walla Walla outdoor amphitheater. It has been one of our favorite venues in the past, and it did not disappoint this time. It was the largest group of actors I've seen on stage though. And I did my best to not sing along to every song.

Do You Want to Be One Too?

Lincoln believes himself to be a pirate today. He was even trying to look super tough. He nearly pulls it off.

Everett Photo of the Day

Neither Zeke nor Lincoln really enjoyed getting their clothes taken off or put on at this age. All the wriggling little arms and legs and the weird angles just don't really make for a fun experience. But Everett doesn't seem to be of the same opinion. A grouchy mood is easily diverted by a wardrobe change.

(Robb claims that Everett just picked up the uke and started right in.)

Dentist Day

With four of our family members now regularly visiting the dentist, this can feel like and all-day event. Zeke loves all things medical, so is a very willing patient.

And then there is Lincoln. He would not leave Daddy's lap for a moment. I finally had to drag him out of there so Robb could get his imaging done. But after all that observing, I think he felt a little more relaxed about having his own teeth looked at. And he LOVES brushing, so that's a start.

My Summer Boys

Summer = a little sun, a little water, a lot of sunscreen and some ice pops.

Selfie Wars

When Robb is working at the hospital, I periodically send him pictures of the kids. Just in case he misses them or something. So today he returned the favor. We miss him too.

Sometimes Ya Gotta

Dance in mama's heels.

Make a googly-eye face on your finger.

Give your brother a third eye.

How We Roll

When we loaded up the boys to go grocery shopping this morning, they must have been under the impression that we were headed out on an adventure. So, at the grocery store, Robb dropped me off and took them for a drive.

This is the sight that greeted me when they came back to pick me up. Yeah, nice work Coffee dad. He assures me that they were hot cocoas. We may never know the truth.

This Craziness

So, apparently this is the best hiding place Zeke can find. Seriously, Lincoln never figured it out. But also, it was difficult to get ready for work today.

Missing His Mustache?

I think he looks great either way. But I think Robb misses his big, crazy mustache.

Playdate

At the playground this morning with Oliver and Ellis, the big boys were running wild. So, luckily for mommy, Everett slept the whole time. What will I do when they are all running circles around me?

A Wee Bit O' Cheese

These guys. So handsome. So happy. So cheesy.

Guest Photographer

I love setting Zeke loose with the camera. He is so earnest and careful. And then I usually forget about it for awhile and later am confused as to why there are twenty pictures of the kitchen floor. He tends to focus on still life, so it was a treat to find a few self portraits this time.

Storytime

Lincoln convinced Papa to read to him. Of course, Lincoln choose the reading material, but Papa came up with a pretty good narrative. Soon Zeke wanted in on the action. Then we noticed that even Abigail was paying attention.

Blooming Barista

Robb's foam art skills are really coming along. I think these are supposed to be garlics?

Getting Out (And Staying In)

David and Nel were kind enough come and grab Zeke and Linc on their way to Whitman Mission today. And good thing. These poor kids have barely been out of the house. One tired baby plus one tired mama does not equal much fun for big brothers.
