Budding Artist?

Not sure why this pencil isn't working on skin...

Well, maybe not an artist, but he is learning to use a pencil.

Ezekiel Photo of the Day

When I opened the dishwasher to load it, I guess Zeke saw his opportunity. He got up there and started downing a nectarine like it would be his last meal. We've been carefully cutting them into little bits, but he seems to prefer this messier method.

Art for Zeke

For Ezekiel's first birthday, Dennis sent him this Bathtub Pirate illustration that is ever so perfect. We had to check out the illustrator's site right away and he has some super fun stuff. Thank you Dennis! We love you.

Ezekiel is One Year Old!

Our little man is a whole year old today. I just don't know where the time has gone. It seems that it was just weeks ago that we brought home a tiny little helpless bundle and now he is a rascally little creature that is getting everywhere by himself and determined to be his own person.

Ezekiel is now over 22 pounds and 32.5 inches tall (instead of long!) with a 47.5 cm head. What a noggin...

Small Streams, Small Fish

Corry Current with this monster rainbow.

This one put up quite the fight.

Just a little taste of some of the fishing here in the Walla Walla Valley. I know...you're jealous.

With My People

Checking out Great-grandma Edna and little Pepper.

Grandpa Jim lets me eat rice with my fingers!

Daddy makes sure I don't try to swallow any marbles.

I LOVE her already.

Playing pat-a-cake with Grandma Lorraine.

Zeke had a busy day spending time with his loved ones. It was so great to be able to visit Great-grandma at her house and see aunts, uncles, grandparents and cousins. Nothing better.

Pantless Man

Splashing in the stream with Katrina.

Free at last.

"Walk the plank!"

Uncle Everett and Auntie Jelinda keep an eye on little nude man.

Peeing on Aunt Pat gets you stuck with a diaper again.

As generally happens when we are outside with Zeke, he got dirty and dirtier until we finally stripped him down. I think he was pretty excited to be flying free and made his way all over John and Pat's back yard.

Since he kept going for the water, Katrina took him in, but he far preferred to cuddle with her than let his feet go in the cold water.

Grandma Time

Suzie and Don came over with Grandma last night, so we had an impromptu reunion. Always a good time! Though this picture makes me miss Aunt Liz...

Sermons and Sharks

Sebastian is a man after Robb's own heart. We sat a few rows behind him in church today and he proved that sometimes all a sermon needs is some good shark facts.

Birthday Sabbath

Singing the birthday song.

Checking out his new book.

Fun times with Grandma Lorraine.

Cardboard cutout fail.

Today at Sabbath School, the class sang the birthday song to Ezekiel. He sat there with the silliest look on his face. Grandma was on hand to take some photos and cuddle and help him put his felts on the board.

In church, Zeke and Grandpa worked on their duet skills.

Wrestle Mania

It might be a few years before Ezekiel can get the best of his grandpa while wrestling. Until then, there will be lots of giggling.

Yay for visitors from the north. Dad and mom are down from Kotzebue for a couple of weeks and we are looking forward to spending some fun times together. (Can you tell that dad has already had a bit too much sun?)

Lil' Pilot

Ezekiel got this little Elmo airplane for his (upcoming) birthday. He hasn't figured out how to push it around yet, but he has discovered each and every little button and I think he is pretty proud of himself. Thankyou Grandpa Coffee!

A River Runs Through It?

With the 4th of July coming on fast I can't help but think about a sweet little river and a fish that still hasn't been caught.

Ungracious Little Host

Stealing sips from her water bottle behind her back.

Trying to hide in the corner.

Rebuffing Kennedi's attempts to play.

Unhappy to be sharing mommy's lap.

It would seem that Zeke has become a bit too comfortable in his status as an only child. Today while hanging out with Kennedi, he was quite the little grump. Kennedi, on the other hand, was a cheerful delight. I guess we've got our work cut out for us.

Summer Projects

Robb finishes up a few details in preparation for the back patio.

Robb cleans the gutters. Ezekiel copies him.

Robb took advantage of the beautiful evening to get some things done outside. We are almost ready to pour the patio in the back—the last part of our addition project from last year. Then he decided to tackle the gutters...

Rad Rad Tech Gear

Donning the new lead.

All I need is a claymore. Mwahahaha!

Just checking out the arteries of the heart.

A few notes from Robb at work.
