Baby Bump

I still can't resist wearing a distracting scarf.

It's a Squirrel!

I know, I know a little scary looking, but they say that changes.
Jess thinks it looks like a squirrel.

Today Jess and I got a glimpse of our family to be. Jess had to drink an insane amount of water beforehand, so when I picked her up from work (oh yeah, she's feeling good enough to go back) she was not a happy camper. Apparently it helps with the ultrasound. Anyway thought we would share, and no, we don't know what the gender is, and we're not going to find out.

Hardy Visit

Sid had a Pathfinders event to attend in town, so Zara and the kids came over Sabbath afternoon to hang out for the rest of the weekend. Corban and Levi got to play with their cousins Natalie and Sebastian. We all enjoyed a slide show the Jo put together from vintage family shots. I got to spend some quality baby time with Malachi. Corban and Levi tried out their skateboarding skills and rearranged our woodpile into a fort (or hut as they call it).

Robb's Running Update

I've been gearing up for a half marathon, and also training to speed up my time at Bloomsday this year. Today we did the five-mile trail run around Bennington Lake (Mill Creek). I met up with Johannes, Chelane and Shannon for the fun little jaunt. I thought we were going to get rained on and the trails were going to be nice and muddy. But, alas, the weather was perfect and the trails were amazing. Maybe it will be better next time. For more running updates, check here.

New Year's Eve Bash

Fackenthall's hosted a lovely soiree to bring in the new year. There were tiaras for everyone, but Chelane probably looked the cutest! We enjoyed some amazing food and a couple of fun mixer games. Jo made us guess how many M&Ms were in different jars, then a game where you write two truths and one lie about yourself and the whole room has to guess who the card is describing. Proving how old we are all getting, there was general napping all around by 10:30. Enjoyed the midnight fireworks show. Thanks all!
