Auntie Nel
When Nelita went to get Zeke from his nap, he kept pointing at his pirate hat. I guess sometimes you just want to wear a pirate hat. Next, he got introduced to Cousin It. I'm not sure who was having more fun.

Ezekiel is Fifteen Months Old
And he's been having a rough day. He has a little head cold and then had to get four shots at his appointment today. Poor little guy just wanted to cuddle for the rest of the day. Which was fine with mommy.
He is now over 32 inches tall and weighs 25 pounds. He also has been figuring out quite a bit of stuff over the last month. He is really perfecting his walking and even tries running a little bit. His babbling is becoming clearer. He copies what we say sometimes, and tonight almost said "kitty". Way to go, Saphira!
He also discovered matchbox cars. He drives them around and makes the sound effects too. And now I find them everywhere—little caches in amongst the books. And Robb found a key and a pen in the dishwasher and a stash of felts in the couch cushions. Then there are the little piles of Cheerios everywhere...

The Straw of DOOM
Ezekiel has to come up with things to entertain himself while sitting in his carseat. It's only natural. Since his grasshopper was at home in the bathtub, he improvised by attacking daddy with a red straw. Somehow he figured out how to reach through the head rest and poke dad in the neck. And somehow, since we were waiting for Ice Burg food, it was totally worth it.
Wheatland Alpacas
For two days only, Wheatland Alpacas opened it's doors to the public. With little Zeke in tow, we really couldn't pass up this free family outing. They were pretty fun to watch, there was even a little baby alpaca. And also some llamas. The kids got to try feeding them and even got to pet one.
P.S. Julie clued us in to this opportunity via this blog.

Tying Flies and Baby Ties
Craft Night—the brainchild of Corren and Cheris—was absolutely awesome. We all gathered our crafting/sewing/fly tying supplies and headed over to the Crawfords. Ezekiel surprised us by actually falling asleep in his travel crib without too much fuss.
Cheris and Nelita dressed up some onesies for little Baby Boy Crawford and I worked on some decorative bow ties for his room. The guys were remarkably focused on their tie flying endeavors. Who knew they had such focus. I think we'll have to try this again soon.

Bicycle Vs. Car
Checking out the damage.
Jess thinks I look good! (hehe...)
Oooo... Ahhh...
This...is the point of impact.
So, I just bought this beautiful steel-frame bike four days ago. I take her out for her maiden voyage and low and behold I get t-boned by a car. I bounce off the hood and land in the middle of the street. The police were called, EMTs were dispatched and in no time I was surrounded by blinking lights and screeching radios.
Since the guys with the blood pressure cuff said that I was good to go to the hospital on my own, my buddy Corren was awesome enough to take me to the hospital. Just about everyone that I work with was on hand to give me a hard time (all in good fun of course).
I ended up getting a couple of x-rays of my knee and some vitamin V (I like Vicodin). With a very swollen knee, a very tired and sore body and a grumpy attitude because I can't do anything I'm going about my business.

I got hit by a CAR! What the heck! GRRRRRRRR! And I'm alive.
Waiting for Robb
Since Robb had a little accident and had to spend the evening in the ER, David and Nelita came over to keep us company. Ezekiel got all cozy with Dave and they played on the iPad for a long time. Then Zeke discovered the spray bottle (he probably doesn't remember the last time I had out the ironing stuff). I hope Robb is okay...
