Friday, Part 3
Friday, Part 2
Friday, Part 1
Today was all about sand. Well, that was after we hit up Seaside for some ice cream. Then we tried out Hug Point.

Testing the Waters
Robb was anxious to get to the beach as soon as possible. We hiked down to Short Sands and the big boys donned their wet suits. It is a nice beach for both surfers and families, with a little freshwater stream, lots of sand and a very gradual grade.
Good Morning Campsite
The littles seem to thrive in this outdoor living environment. They started off the day right by getting to know Talula, playing in the dirt, enjoying the hammock with cousins and climbing trees.

When You See a Cute Girl at Taco Bell
Ezekiel and Everett try to put out the vibe. Lincoln only has eyes for his Spiderman action figure. He's probably going to get all the girls.

Makers of Mischief
Silence is golden. Unless you have a toddler or two. When they aren't doing something creative and naughty, they are planning to.

Outdoors Day
Today was all weeding and firewood. Unless you were a little boy. In which case, today was all rock climbing, spider catching, helping to stack firewood, getting injured and having daddy patch you up.

The Seven Cs
It is a bit of a three-ring circus when we get the seven Cs together; riotously fun, but overwhelming. After lunch today, we did a little excursion to Whitman Mission.
This View
The last few years, there has been wheat in the field behind our house. This year, they put in alfalfa, and the bright green has been a cheerful contrast to the dry yellow all around us. I think this is about the third cutting this season, and I just love the patterned symmetry of the bales.

Sleepy Bear
This little one takes after his daddy. He was going strong, downing his lunch, and then just crashed. The best part was that he kept trying to eat in his sleep. Lincoln could not stop laughing.

Date Night
Robb has completed the ceiling painting for the stairwell and the rest of the basement. So now it was time to tape off those areas in preparation for painting the walls! So after we got the boys to bed, we got to taping. With both of us working together, it didn't take too long, but Robb did terrify me by balancing over the big drop to tape off the last corner.
Just Being Ezekiel
This boy seems to be growing up so quickly. He has very distinct opinions about most topics and seems to be entering an alarmingly early teen phase. He has even started rolling his eyes at us. At the same time, he expresses very strong feelings about things as well. Tomatoes, for one. And he always has to win the "I love you more" game.
He still has an imaginary persona, but "Froggy Doggy" seems to have been replaced by the robot "Pan" or sometimes, "The Fountain of the King" (du-da-dum). At any rate, he currently believes himself to possess super ninja powers, and has also taken to wearing all of his clothes backwards whenever possible.

Calamity Kid
This poor wee chap just seems to find trouble. I don't know what inspired this latest self-inflicted woe. He found a teeny tiny rubber ban and put it around his wrist after he went to bed. It was still there this morning and he couldn't figure out why his hand didn't feel good.
