Trick-Or-Treat

Ezekiel enjoys swinging instead of walking.

The Coffee men looking fierce.

Ezekiel grew weary and decided to take a break.

Collecting loot at the Current home.

The Pirate Hartmans (pretty much our only trick-or-treaters)!

This afternoon we joined the throngs of families trick-or-treating in downtown Walla Walla. It was a little overwhelming and we didn't make it all the way around, but seeing all the little ones in their costumes was so much fun.

Costume Party

Cake pops!

Matt and Julie hosted an awesome costume party tonight. Their home was decorated with gold stars and coins and they were dressed as Mario, Princess Peach and little Yoshi. Thanks for the great party!

Robb and I got to choose costumes for each other this year so I was Wonder Woman and he was an officer with short shorts. Zeke was a shark. Rachel sent me a picture of the costume months ago and it was so perfect I ended up not making his costume.

For Candace and Jordan we found some Simpsons costumes at Wal-Mart. Only Homer's mask was missing so Jordan improvised by drawing some hair on a bald cap. Good times.

Fishing for Photos

Jordan, the rugged angler searching for his prey.

Just trying to trick a fish.

Why fishing for photos? Because that's all we caught!
But...I guess that's okay because we had lots of fun anyway.
Good times were had by all even though we got tricked by the fish.

It's Fall in Walla Walla

Jordan on Sabbath School duty.

Candace has the coolest phone!

On the way out of church today, Ezekiel discovered a nice pile of leaves. He had the most fun running through them and rolling and picking them out of his hair.

Jack-O-Lanterns

Jordan's first pumpkin carving was brilliant.

Robb lights the candles.

Pumpkins by (left to right) Robb, Jordan, Candace and Jessica.

After we put Ezekiel to bed, it was time to tackle the pumpkins. We spent most of the time researching what designs we wanted to carve.

Pumpkin Time

This one looks perfect.

Walking with mommy and letting it all hang out.

Jordan and Candace carting in the winning pumpkins.

That is one crazy long slide.

We thought we had better swing by Klickers and pick up some pumpkins to carve. It was pretty fun selecting pumpkins and enjoying a beautiful fall evening.

Making Faces

Our friends Candace and Jordan are visiting for a bit, and Zeke is loving his new people.

Captain Dish Towel

Ezekiel seems to have a fascination with capes. He'll grab a towel and put it over his shoulders all on his own. I'm sure we have a superhero in the making.

A Bold Venture

Front view of Uncle Larry's new "shop".

Zeke teaches mommy how to blow raspberries.

Before heading off for home, Uncle Larry gave us a tour of his latest building project. He is calling it a shop, but you could park four RVs in the center, another six vehicles on each side and at least two of our houses upstairs. And to make it even more remarkable, it is a one man project. He has nailed every last nail and I don't even want to know how he got those giant beams in place...

The best part is the glorious view. From this high up you can see down the runway and over the river and out across the mountains. Last night there were torrential showers, but the sun came out and was sparkling through the golden Aspens and it was hard to leave.

Shake-Face

Brenden, this is epic.

Joe, you were the clear winner.

Joanne makes it look glam.

Ezekiel thinks we are all too silly.

Since Brenden and Joanne reminded us that shake-face was a traditional part of the harvest party, we rounded up volunteers and went for it. Uncle Larry, we'll get you next year.

Montana Harvest Party

Ezekiel helps Uncle Jeremy with the tractor.

Ezekiel checks out his prize from the fishing pond while Robb contemplates the treats table.

Ezekiel and Ray rocking the same hairstyle.

The Trout Creek SDA church hosts this event every year, and we hate to miss it. There is a little bit of something for everyone; bobbing for apples, roasted corn, a fishing pond with toys for the kiddos, songs around a giant bonfire, a cake walk free-for-all, a genuine hayride and plenty of delicious food and apple cider to go around.

It was raining like crazy all day, but cleared up just in time for us to enjoy the evening. Thanks for the lovely time, we'll be back again!

Taylinn's Third Birthday

She was so cute opening her presents.

Zeke has been working on some new faces.

We were so pleased to be able to celebrate Taylinn's birthday with her. It is actually hard to believe that she is already three. She was such a tiny sweet little baby. Now she is a sweet little girl with an adorable sense of humor. Zeke has taken quite a shine to her and they walk around holding hands.
