Lincoln ran inside this evening to put on shoes so he could do his chores. But instead he somehow managed to tromp out in daddy's boots. He was ever so proud of himself.

To the Museum (Again)
I know, I agree with you. This is getting old. The boys would not agree with you though. I'm starting to hear things at prayer time along the lines of, "Thank you that we got to go to the museum." So we skipped naps today to spend a little more time learning and exploring. Everyone enjoyed testing out the springboard buggy benches. The boys discovered all manner of wildlife painted into one of the murals. We found Brad Pitt's doppelganger in lockup. There was some strolling through Pioneer Village (Zeke and Lincoln loved the boys play cabin). And we spent a good amount of time at the play structure.

Mini Me
Zeke is doing his best Robb impression. I'm not sure what Rusty is doing, but it looks a lot like a smize.

To the Museum
The boys were begging to see more of the museum, so we headed over after naps and saw as much as we could in the hour we had before closing time. I love the Ransom Clark Cabin. The boys loved the weapons in the WWII exhibit.
Sir White Beard
This happened on Robb's watch. But to be clear, I have a rather bad habit of not properly closing things. And I just might have been painting yesterday. Oops. Sorry, Robb.

We (Finally) Visit Fort Walla Walla Museum
I was born in Walla Walla. And I've lived here off and on for years. And yet, today marked my very first visit to this museum. (Mom, correct me if this is wrong.) I admit, I've always wanted to go poking around Pioneer Village, but paying an entrance fee seemed too much. Lucky for us, it was half off for family memberships today. So we'll be exposing these boys to all the vintage agricultural equipment and local history they can handle.

Lincoln's First Movie
Lincoln has seen plenty of movies. But this was his first time watching one on the big screen. The best part? He wanted to sit in my lap the whole time! I loved every silly minute of Shaun the Sheep.

Project Time
Robb got the chance to work on the play structure a bit today. And the boys worked on their tree fort skills. Can you call it a tree fort if it is in a lilac?

Three Years of Mischief
Tonight we celebrate Lincoln in all his feisty glory. With his sparkling eyes, he has brought so much joy to our home. He definitely finds his way into trouble quite a bit, but he also has a gentle heart and is so thoughtful.
This year he had his cake picked out months ahead. It was a ridiculously complex setup that required six separate batters. But he loved it.

Bugs
Robb "rescued" this little beauty from the gas station. I'm just glad that I wasn't in the car at the time. Zeke has an increasing interest in creepy crawlers. Lucky for him, our place has ample specimens for his scientific endeavors.

Adventuring We Go
Sundays are always great for getting outdoors and into mischief. Today was all about mud puddles and ice pops. It would be 100% awesome if they didn't try to bring it all back in with them.

Reunited
Ezekiel was pleased to run into Kennedi at Sabbath School this morning. They sat together in church, catching up and being silly.

Ted
Rob has a pet plant at work. A volunteer Basil from last season. Apparently they hang out sometimes.

I Hate Goodbyes
Leaving this morning was quite a task. The boys just wanted to play a little longer. Climb the trees one last time. Play hide-and-seek one more time. Thank you to everyone for making this trip memorable. We will see you all next year!
Is it Sunday morning already?
This trip certainly did fly by. Nobody wanted to leave yet. Nobody wanted to be awake, for that matter. My tribe doesn't exactly wake up bright-eyed. But we eventually dragged ourselves out of our sleeping bags and packed up our camp.
