The Sweet Serenity of Books
This kid. He devours books. Of all kinds. Robb has a book about living self sufficiently. Every time it is within reach, Zeke spends so much time checking out the illustrations. Here he is, apparently learning how to configure a solar shower.

Heidi and Josh
We love it when friends and family drop by! Tonight we got to spend the evening Heidi and Josh, and of course, baby Everett tried to show off the whole time.

Storytime with Aunt Pat
The boys have been enjoying showing off their new bed. And tonight when Aunt Pat agreed to read a book on the top bunk, Zeke was in heaven.

Adventures in Baking
Robb has been at it again. We'll call it stress baking. Having spent several months on sourdough, he has now moved on to all sorts of artisan breads. I love it.

Selfie for the Boys
We send a random assortment of pics to Robb at work throughout the week. We don't want him to miss out on baby's new accomplishments or Zeke's creative ventures or Lincoln's toilet success. So every once in awhile, he humors us with a pic from work.

Banff Mountain Film Festival
Robb and Corren usually attend this yearly event together. But last year I tagged along and it was so much fun, I tried it again this year. That's right folks, I crashed their date night. They were very gracious.
There were some pretty phenomenal films; always something adventurous, quirky and wrenching. If you get a chance, check out Mending the Line—in 1944, 20-year-old Frank Moore landed on the beaches of Normandy. Now, at the age of 90, he returns with his wife and son to heal the wounds of his past by fly-fishing the streams he once helped free. It should be on YouTube.

Getting it Done
Around here, most days feel like we are barely keeping up at best, and usually just trying to catch up. But every once in awhile a day comes along where we get things done. Today was one of those days.
First up, Zeke made breakfast for us. By himself. It was awesome. And I actually got around to putting together their craft project boxes (which bought me some time too). And when Robb got off work, we switched their rooms and Robb installed the new "double-decker" bed. That he made (with SO much help from Corren).
The boys were very helpful. And it actually seemed a bit touch and go with the whole thing, as Zeke is a bit timid about climbing the ladder and tried to get Lincoln to sleep up top. And Lincoln has never been out of his crib, so there is that. And, he is potty training. Good grief. We may have bitten off more than we can chew this time. But, at the moment they are both fast asleep in their new bed. Fingers crossed.

Bipolar Baby
Right now this kid is swinging wildly between utter desolation and complete contentment. It seems to have something to do with whether or not I pick him up.

The Underwear Dance
Robb, Robb, Robb... What to say? He claims that he just wanted to see how Lincoln would look in his underoos. We've had a little packet of Thomas undies ready for months now, but Lincoln hasn't seemed too ready.
But tonight, after running around with his cute little bum in undies, and actually keeping them dry for several hours, it seems that we (Robb) had inadvertently started potty training with Lincoln. Oh boy, we are in for it now. I may or may not keep you updated.

Sundays are Best
Sunday are pretty good. Mostly because we all get to hang out together. Any day like that is good. We get to enjoy leisurely breakfast (with twisty straws!) and stay in our pajamas until noon. Baby Everett showed off some of his free standing skills as he rearranged the castle. Zeke and Lincoln hid from him as he crawled circles around looking for them. And we all jumped on the bed and read stories.

My Sweet Boys
It was one of those Fridays that Robb has to work. No big deal, the boys and I can get the shopping done. Sort of. They keep me on my toes, and moving quickly so as to avoid meltdowns. But, check it out—baby is wearing shoes! And then, one little snapshot from this evening. Lincoln loves him some kitty cats.

Walker
Baby Rusty accidentally fashioned a walker for himself. I think he was just trying to pull up on this stool to stand, but his weight kept slowly pushing it along and forcing him to take little steps.

Sunday Morning Crafting
This monthly Home Depot event is becoming a new favorite tradition. They made little sleds today and, of course, painted them! So much messy fun.

Participating!
These guys are usually pretty shy in Sabbath School, so I was excited to see that Lincoln was the "L" in the BIBLE song today. Zeke cheered him on from his seat. I think they are just too cute sitting together in the front row... And it gives baby Everett a chance to visit his own class once in awhile.

Selfies and Such
These boys just love making faces at themselves. And then there's Rusty. He and Sheila really are best buds right now.
