So many expressions, I wish I could capture every single one.

Gabby
Oh Gabby. How you have changed our lives. Although you were nearly a stranger when you came to us, you quickly became family. And even though you are moving on to bigger and better things, you will always be in our hearts.

Abraham Lincoln Coffee
At some point these kids need to give up sippy cups. Ha ha ha ha ha. No, really. Vanilla steamers are perfect for practicing using mugs like big kids. Also, Lincoln using the Abe Lincoln mug cracks me up.

Finkbiner Visit
We felt super lucky to have these lovelies drop by for awhile this morning. Silas and Everett became quick buddies. Zeke and Lincoln fought over Emmarie just a tiny bit. And had snack time together. And played Legos. And there were lattes for the grown-ups, and a chance to catch up.
Impromptu Wawona Trip
So, Troy and Jess very secretively planned for me to join the convergence of the many Wawona alumni, for a weekend of reminiscing, getting reacquainted with old fiends, and all around joviality.
Cheesy selfie in front of headquarters.
One of the many views that I can never forget.
Fire bowl was a little more than expected.
And of course their were the critters.

Meanwhile, back at home...
Mommy and Gabby decided that some new Legos were in order. Once we got Lincoln to bed, the construction began.

Poser
Zeke wants to model eyewear. Or maybe he is making his pirate face. Something things we may never know.

Cousin Time
Evan dropped by this afternoon, so the kids got in a little end-of-summer time. Lincoln and Evan couldn't get over how funny it was to turn on the faucet. They were both soaked in minutes and tried to get all of us in on it.

The Flag
We finally finished a little art project that has been in the works for some time. Robb constructed the base out of reclaimed walnut and oak. It took awhile, because he only had a few moments here and there to escape to the shop.
Then, with some help from the Currents, we painted in the stars and stripes. It was super bright, so Robb took a sander to it. and the wood grain started to show through. Then he sealed it with wax and it was ready to be dropped into the french cleat.

Starting the Day Right
Robb's blueberry pancakes are one of the best parts of Sunday morning. The boys devour them in stacks and gain energy for their eventual shenanigans.

Sabbath School Silliness
Zeke has been a bit slow to warm to his new class. He usually resists participating in song service or going up for story time, so I was sort of excited to see him give it a try today. And then Dr. Carpenter had to go and bring in a big ol' snake. Eeww. And Zeke touched it. Double eeww.
