One of my pet peeves is eating a sliced apple that tastes like onion. At some point, we switched from plastic to wood, as it is supposed to be self-purifying. And we tried keeping one board for fruit, but they eventually got mixed up. Maybe we just use too many onions.
But Robb had a solution. He used some reclaimed black walnut, purple heart and oak to fashion individual boards for me. A little wood burning and some butcher block conditioner and we are good to go!
