Uncle Jeremy

Jeremy called today to say that he was passing through and could stop in for a few minutes. Luckly, it was right before Zeke's naptime, because he would have hated to have missed this. We got a little driving lesson and I think Zeke is ready to sign up and head to North Dakota! He took it quite seriously, as you can see.




And then the singing commenced.

Framing

Finally, the fun begins. That blow-in insulation stuff? Not as much fun as you would think. And being wise, you probably didn't think it would be fun at all. Such a mess. To top it off, I left the laundry shoot door open and now the upper level of the house is also filled with a fine, but non-toxic dust.

But, moving on. Today we got to frame in the closet and little partial wall. And even started on hanging the sheetrock. It is starting to actually look different now!

Our Big News

We got to hear the sweetest little sound this morning. At nine weeks, they can't always pick up the heartbeat, but there it was! Oh happy day.

Zeke Art

Why do I think this Zeke picture is so funny? Probably because of how he described it to me when I got home. The guy has been eating cookies, apparently. You can see some in his mouth. And now he is grouchy because of bananas? And his eyes are filling up with tears. Seriously, you'll have to ask him what is going on...

It Begins

Here we go. We've decided to finish up the little basement apartment and have drawn up a plan. Step 1: insulate the ceiling between floors. This involves drilling all sorts of tiny little holes in the sheetrock, but we think it will be worth it. Onward!

Lake Adventures

What a perfect day! We loaded up the family and headed up to Lake Jubilee for the afternoon. It was gorgeous as we walked around and watched the lake for Jesse and Rachel. We eventually spotted a cute little red sail, and flagged them down. Robb tried a little fishing, Zeke splashed in the water and Grandpa Robert snapped some pics.
