I somehow thought that it would be fun to take Ezekiel thrifting this afternoon. Well. Before we even got out of the car he was demanding water and wishing that we were already done. Lucky for me, I was able to buy him some bottled water and lure him with the promise of a new tee. He picked out several to try and finally started to have some fun.
And then, the fitting room. He had some pretty strong opinions about my clothing choices. But he also got to try on some things and I loved his expression when one tee seemed too small. But then I put my own clothes and discovered that he had accidentally emptied the last of his water onto my skirt.

Accessorizing
Routine doctor's appointments generally involve rubber glove balloons. Today, Robb ran over from the cath lab to join us and had one of his surgical caps. Of course, the boys all wanted to try it on. And then there is Rusty and his fixation with wearing the big boy goggles...

Sugar Highs and the Night Sky
We sort of skimped on the fireworks this year, and opted for sparklers instead. Once it was dark enough, the valley was lighting up in every direction, and the boys were loving it. Also, they found a frog. And I finally got to see the Venus/Jupiter alignment that everyone keeps talking about. I guess I don't get out after dark enough these days.
Sparklers and S'mores
We got to hang out with Lisa this evening. She charmed the boys by reading to them, letting them play with her phone and chasing them around on the trampoline. Lincoln was brave enough to handle a sparkler or two. And everyone had too many s'mores.
An Unattended Camera
I'm just guessing based on the images that appeared on the camera from earlier today. But it looks like either Ezekiel or Lincoln found a somewhat willing subject for an impromptu photo shoot.

Fields in Bloom
We couldn't resist one more visit to the lavender farm this season. Seriously, that place is magic. We also could not resist bringing back two large bouquets.

Making a Splash
We try never to pass up a chance to get the boys in the pool. But there are definitely three levels of enthusiasm regarding water.
Maple Counter
If you are looking for a truly indulgent breakfast, your search is over. This is the kind of place that serves your applesauce with whipped cream and sprinkles. Well, I'm not sure my applesauce came that way. Come to think of it, I wasn't even offered applesauce... Nonetheless, the boys are huge fans of the place.
